International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces | The 2011 International Conference on Intelligent User Interfaces (IUI 2011) is the annual meeting of the intelligent interfaces community, and serves as the principal international forum for reporting outstanding research and development on intelligent user interfaces. This topic is of increasing importance, as the modern consumer interfaces with a wide variety of devices with embedded computation and connectivity, and the desktop computer is fading into the background. IUI 2011 will be held in Palo Alto, California; the main conference will be held at the Sheraton Palo Alto, with workshops at nearby Stanford University.

The central track of the technical program comprises plenary presentation of full-length papers, which are selected by the program committee after in-depth analysis and discussion. A complementary set of short paper presentations and demos will stimulate discussion on work in progress. The conference experience also includes a variety of other activities: workshops, invited talks by leading figures, and an occasional panel.
