The 2010 meeting of the American Academy of Religion will feature a consultation on Transhumanism and Religion, with the theme “Perspectives on Human Enhancement”.  The papers presented will be Geoffrey Redmond’s “Transhumanism: Ethical Insights From the Three Chinese Spiritual Traditions”, Michael Burdett’s “N.F. Fedorov and Christian Transhumanism”, Patrick D. Hopkins’s “Transhumanism as a Theological Process”, and Joseph G. Wolyniak’s “Transhumanism and the Baconian Project: The Theological Impetus for Material Salvation”.
