MIT 150 | This symposium is inspired by the old dream of understanding the mind and the brain, a dream that was at the core of several new fields created at MIT during the 1950s and 60s. Today, that dream is the motivation for a new Intelligence Initiative (I2), which will bridge faculty across all five Schools at MIT. The goals of this great intellectual mission are to understand the origins of intelligence, to build more intelligent artifacts and systems, and to improve mechanisms for collective decisions that will be critical to the future prosperity, education, health, and security of the U.S.
