Elliptic Labs has developed a touchless dock prototype for the Apple iPad (and other tablets) using Touchless Gesture User Interface technology, to be shown at CES.

It allows a user to make hand movements (gestures), similar to Microsoft’s Kinect technology. It uses ultrasound to create a “touchless zone” that covers approximately one foot in front and to the side of the iPad’s screen.
