Lithium Technology Corporation has unveiled a retrofitted Toyota Prius with plug-in capabilities that allow for 125-plus miles per gallon fuel efficiency.

The car is powered by the company’s new product line of 7 kilowatt-hour lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cells, the largest cells of their kind in the world, the company claims.
