University of Missouri researchers are using an ultra-fast, ultra-intense laser (UUL) to change cancer treatments.
Using pulse durations of one femtosecond, it can interact with its target without transferring heat to the surrounding area, allowing precision destruction of very small targets such as cancer cells with no injury to surrounding tissues.
