Nanopencil Can Provide Terabit Data Storage Density

Researchers from Intel Corporation and Cal Tech have fabricated a “nanopencil” with a nanoscale tip that can be used as a scanning probe in ultrahigh-density computer data storage systems, achieving storage density of 1 Tbits per square inch.
