SPIE Photonics West, the world’s largest photonics, laser, and biomedical optics event, will take place from 22 to 27 January 2011 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The conference will consist of four sub-symposia: BiOS (the world’s largest international biomedical optics and biophotonics conference), LASE (covering the science and the sources of all types of lasers and their applications), MOEMS-MEMS (discussing mass-produced miniaturized products and systems), and OPTO (for advancements in integrated optoelectronic devices, semiconductor lasers, and LEDs). More than 18,000 people are expected to attend.

There will also be a general exhibition on the 25th, 26th and 27th.
