DNA origami (a single, long artificial DNA molecule with many smaller strands that can create a 2D “canvas”) can also be made to build itself into larger, more complex structures that could provide new ways of manufacturing on a small scale (for nanoelectronics or nanocomputing), Cal Tech researchers have found.
