Exploring Human Enhancement: A Symposium

The Center for Values in Medicine, Science, and Technology will hold a symposium on Exploring Human Enhancement at UT-Dallas on April 8-9th, 2011. The symposium will explore ethical, cultural, humanistic explorations and evaluations of human enhancement, from existing and emerging technologies to speculative technologies. There will be a special focus on talks relating to interdisciplinary work and on new developments in the field. There will be presentations from philosophers, scholars in arts, literature, bioethics, cultural studies, and from scientists and technologists who take a humanistic perspective on their studies.
