An “eye robot” — an experimental user-friendly computer interface using a pair of eyeballs capable of conveying a wide range of nonverbal signals — has been developed by Tokyo Institute of Technology researchers.
The eye robot sends simulated emotional messages to the user, such as agreement, recommendation or sympathy, based on the importance and degree of certainty of the displayed information.
