Face recognition makes the leap from sci-fi

Immersive Labs in Manhattan has developed software for digital billboards that gauges the age range, sex, and attention level of a passer-by in order to display ads likely to attract them.

But what if the next generation of mall billboards could analyze skin quality and then publicly display an ad for acne cream, or detect sadness and serve up an ad for antidepressants?
