The Stratellite, a new segmented unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) airship designed for high-altitude, long-duration flights, will be launched this week in Germany by TAO Technologies and Sanswire.
The Stratellite has no frame, so it’s lightweight and flexible, resembling an eel in flight. It is intended for wireless communications, border security, emergency and battlefield communications, and other applications that call for long-duration, high-altitude UAVs.
