Mount Sinai School of Medicine researchers have found that an extract from grape seeds reduces the plaque formation and cognitive decline of Alzheimer’s disease in an animal model.

The major components of the polyphenolic extract (polyphenols are antioxidants) are catechin and epicatechin, which are also found in tea and cocoa.
