Volkswagen plans to build a limited number of cars in 2010 based on its 235 mpg (282 in Imperial gallons) One-Liter Car concept vehicle.

The design makes extensive use of carbon monocoque fiber, magnesium, titanium, and aluminum to minimize weight (660 pounds).
