A lithium-sulfur battery that can store and deliver more than three times the power of conventional lithium ion batteries has been developed by University Of Waterloo researchers.

The battery overcomes cathode contact problems with sulphur by using mesoporous carbon microfibers to ensure uniform filling of voids.
