Researchers at NASA Ames Research Center have developed a biosensor that uses ultra-sensitive carbon nanotubes on a chip to detect trace amounts of specific bacteria, viruses and parasites.
Their first licensed biosensor will detect the presence of common and rare strains of microorganisms associated with water-borne illnesses and fatalities.
