Ultrasound shown to exert remote control of brain circuits

Neuroscientists at Arizona State University has developed low-frequency pulsed ultrasound techniques that can penetrate the skull and stimulate brain circuit activity noninvasively, offering the potential for new treatments of brain disorders and disease, or the creation of artificial memories along the lines of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character in the movie “Total Recall.”
